What this Blog is Not

You may have noticed. . . that this blog is not an up-to-the-nanosecond hive locale for the latest news, trends or catchiest slang. Since I know you have better things to do than stare at a computer screen and read a lengthy, neverending blab, especially when there's so much to be done out there in the world, I try to limit my paragraphs. I won't make this a part-time job for you to pour your mind into. Besides, who wants to participate in feeding the latest key word search, while those who compile such daily searches monitor the human collective as if it were some sort of single bodied, impressionable entity? For heaven's shoes, get outside.

What's that? The air quality is better in the mall? Oh. Well then get back on your computer and read more about alternative energies.

Honestly, I can’t get anything done especially when people don’t knock! So, I have persuaded my employer to post some Seedlings(TM) on the website. They should be posted shortly, and I will update you accordingly.

The Bark is Back

Well kids, sorry about the long hiatus. Here's the update. The good - absolute ecstatic news is - what's that? You'd like the bad news first? Oh. It's not really bad news. The set I've been reporting on is going into the production background. No more pics for the moment. The GREAT news is that I'm hosting my own pilot show - that's right. I hope you'll tune in..

Books, Books, and er, well, Books

Happy New Year to all!
Well, Sir Two received a new sun lamp for Christmas so while he's sunning himself in his dressing room, I am allowed to update the blog.

I have been busy on a rewrite on a feature length script which will be submitted in January for review. Thankfully, with planning, I am on schedule with the deadline. In the meantime, an elf has made books, books, and more books for a set on the film short (Groucho's secret word is: library).
And, I've been playing with fire - experimenting on some glowing embers for the hearth.So that's it for now. Fortunately Sir Two won't have that 'sprayed on tan' look when he reemerges. .

It can Hardly be Contained!

Dear Readers,
I can hardly contain the excitement about, oh, I can't even tell you. I'm under a strict confidentiality clause. In the meantime, let me elaborate on some other things.

Apparently, I haven't even mentioned the book series from which I came. It must have gotten lost from the old blog. I'm in such a good mood because of the secret news that I'll even talk about that other film.

Here is a picture of me and Christopher from Book I of the Evergreen series. This is a four book series and we have been bumped for a short film from Book IV, Nadia's Heart. As mentioned previously, it's the tale of an unfortunate soul who has been born without a heart. What it all has to do with the trees, I'm not sure because we're in another land. Perhaps I'll read the book to apprise myself.

Well! I don't like to go on and on, you know. That's the update. Oh- and attached is a backstage clip.

Curious? Not at all. Really.

There seems to be construction of an interior cabin scene underway. I'm still sleuthhounding the set.

Okay. I will admit to some curiosity as to what is going on OUT THERE, and I did put down my brew and crack the door to get a glimpse. Had a conversation, as well, with one of the grip staff and here's what I garnered.

This is a tale of an unfortunate soul who has been born without a heart. At least, that's what she perceives. Said main character has also been written as an amnesiac, so this should prove interesting. Who knows how many lit bulbs she has in the box.

The Moved, and the Not Improved

A quilt, mind you. We should all instead draw deep breaths from the Earth and buffer up for the outdoors!

Well! In addition to all that has been going on at the lot, this virtual archive has been moved. Welcome to the new and more efficient blog space.

Gentle readers, the situation has not improved. Construction and shooting continues on the set for the 'other' production. My agent says that it is all within the confines of my contract, although I don't remember being paid to be put on the shelf. Have I been optioned? Heaven forbid they cast me in this wretched piece, sans trees and natural surroundings.

Horror of Horrors We Have Been Backlotted

Look Ma, New Hands: Some painted face is being prepared for the main set - and it looks like they are of human extraction.

I have been busy on the phone with my agent because of what has been transpiring here as of late. It seems my promo spots - and my dressing room - have been bumped to a back set due to "budgetary constraints" and "creative differences." Someone else has become king - or queen - of the canopy and they're going to hear it from me.

AND there is so much construction going on at the main set that I've resigned myself almost full time to my dressing room. What’s more, some poor soul is having new hands cast - can you believe it? To think that any puppet with human fingers could compete with my model branches. Stay tuned, dear readers.

I think it's easy to assume that actors have a glamorous life. That is not always the case. When you're working under hot lights which are in fact very unlike the noon day sun, and having your make up touched every hour, which is nothing at all like a dust storm, then you really have to take a look and say, 'Is this really worth it?' And of course it is. The gratification of performing and what it gives to the audience makes it worth it.
